Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience, including experience building and operating cloud-native applications
  • 3+ years of engineering leadership experience leading software development teams
  • Strong understanding of modern software development practices and the software development lifecycle
  • Experience leading teams responsible for customer-facing web applications and cloud services
  • Demonstrated ability to influence technical direction while enabling teams to execute effectively
  • Strong communication
  • Experience building SaaS products on public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Strong background in modern web development using

Responsibilities

  • We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team responsible for critical preconstruction workflows that connect contractors with millions of project opportunities every month.
  • You will lead a team of talented engineers, partner closely with Product Management, Design, Data Science, and Platform teams, and help shape the future of Aut***'s construction technology portfolio.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of software engineers in a hybrid and globally distributed environment
  • Partner closely with Product Managers, Designers, Architects, and stakeholders to deliver meaningful customer value
  • Foster a culture of inclusion, innovation, accountability, and continuous learning aligned with Aut*** values
  • Help engineers understand how their work connects to customer outcomes and broader business goals
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship while empowering engineers to own solutions and decisions
  • Drive engineering excellence through strong practices in architecture, code quality, testing, security, and operational reliability
  • Improve team effectiveness by identifying opportunities to streamline processes, increase productivity, and reduce friction
  • Support the growth of engineers through coaching, career development, and continuous feedback
  • Recruit, hire, and retain exceptional talent while building a diverse and engaged team
